Syracuse placekicker Brady Denaburg has entered the transfer portal, he announced on social media Monday. Denaburg spent three seasons with the Orange from 2022-24. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
After starting throughout his sophomore year, Denaburg was benched four games into the 2024 season. He went 3-for-6 on field-goal attempts and never tried another past September. Freshman kicker Jadyn Oh replaced Denaburg but struggled similarly, finishing 2-for-5 over four appearances. Then, redshirt junior Cornell transfer Jackson Kennedy took over for Oh, proved to be consistent and closed out the season as SU’s starter.
Denaburg didn’t play in his freshman year, though he started in all 12 of Syracuse’s regular-season games in 2023. He went 10-for-16 on field-goal tries, including an 0-for-3 mark from 50-plus yards. He missed just one of 37 extra points.
Denaburg is the third Syracuse player to hit the transfer portal thus far. Anwar Sparrow entered as a graduate transfer Thursday and freshman Marcellus Barnes Jr. followed early Monday morning.
