In the latest edition of the NCAA coaches’ poll, Syracuse’s men’s team jumped to the No. 4 ranking, while the women’s side fell to No. 28.

Coming off of a top three finish at the Nuttycombe Invitational, the Syracuse men climbed up the rankings for the first time in nearly a month. After staying at No. 6 the past two weeks, the Orange found themselves fourth overall with 296 points. Northern Arizona stayed at the top of the poll. Syracuse remained at No. 1 in the northeast rankings, staying ahead of No. 2 Harvard.

The women dropped three spots for a tie with Gonzaga at No. 28. The fall comes after a 20th-place finish at the Nuttycombe Invitational on Friday. Northern Arizona (330 points) leapfrogged NC State (319 points) for the top spot. SU stayed at No. 2 in the northeast rankings with Harvard jumping Syracuse and Providence to take the No. 1 spot in the region.

Syracuse will travel to Ithaca for the John Reif Memorial race at Cornell on Oct. 20.
