Former Syracuse cornerback Jayden Bellamy has transferred to UCF, On3 reported Friday. Bellamy joins former SU defensive back Jaeden Gould as the second player from the Orange to transfer to UCF.
The redshirt sophomore entered the transfer portal on Dec. 17, becoming the third SU defensive back and 10th overall player to do so. Bellamy joined the Orange in 2023 after one season at Notre Dame, where he didn’t play.
He started seven games in his first year at Syracuse and totaled 28 tackles. Bellamy nabbed a game-sealing pick-six for SU’s fifth win of the year against Pitt. In 2024, he backed up Clarence Lewis and Marcellus Barnes Jr. on the outside. After Barnes Jr. suffered a season-ending injury against Stanford, Bellamy moved into a starting role. He recorded 33 total tackles and two interceptions, including a pick-six against Holy Cross on Sept. 28.
Bellamy finished his SU career with three interceptions. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
