Syracuse University Fire and Life Safety Services and the Syracuse Fire Department responded to a small roof fire at Hinds Hall at around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to a campus-wide email alert.

Responders have since completed their inspection and determined the building safe to reopen. Occupants were initially evacuated, but the building is now back to operating as normal, according to the email.

The fire’s cause was not stated in the email.
