Syracuse men’s soccer was ranked No. 25 in the 2024 United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Preseason Poll, which released Wednesday. Last season, the Orange began the season atop the rankings following their 2022 NCAA Championship victory.

SU was unable to defend its title, losing to No. 8 seed New Hampshire in the second round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

The Orange are one of 10 Atlantic Coast Conference teams inside the top 25. Reigning national champion Clemson sits atop the rankings, with No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 5 Stanford and No. 6 North Carolina trailing closely behind.

Syracuse faces five of these teams in the coming season, with three of those games being on the road.

The Orange begin their season with an exhibition against St. Bonaventure at SU Soccer Stadium on Saturday. Then, Syracuse hosts Marist on Aug. 13 and travels to Rutgers on Aug. 17, before beginning the regular season against Colgate on Aug. 22.
