DaJuan Coleman is out for Syracuse's game against Eastern Michigan on Tuesday with a left leg contusion.

Syracuse center DaJuan Coleman is day-to-day after missing the Orange’s 70-48 victory against Eastern Michigan on Tuesday with a left leg contusion, SU head coach Jim Boeheim said.

“It’s not week-t0-week. It’s really day-to-day,” Boeheim said. “He had a treatment yesterday so he couldn’t play today, but we’re going to look at it in the next two days, see how he responds to the treatment and make decisions based on how he responds.”

Coleman did not warm up with SU and walked out of the tunnel after the coaches. He sat on the bench in a gray sweatsuit and walked along the sideline with no noticeable limp as Jerami Grant started at the wing while Rakeem Christmas slid into the center of the 2-3 zone.

Boeheim said the team is resting Coleman in hopes of a quicker recovery process.

“Right now we’re treating it,” Boeheim said. “He’s going through a series of treatments that we hope will help him be able to play.”

Coleman was limited to a season-low six minutes in the No. 2 Orange’s 78-62 win over then-No. 8 Villanova on Saturday. Tuesday’s game marked only SU’s second different lineup of the season heading into its 13th game.

“DaJuan’s a trooper,” SU forward Jerami Grant said. “He’s hurt, but he’ll still try to play on it. Now we’re trying to rest him up and get him back as soon as possible.”
