Boeheim comes in 17th on list of highest-paid coaches in 2013 NCAA Tournament

Jim Boeheim is the 17th highest-paid coach in the 2013 NCAA Tournament, according to a database put together by USA Today.

The paper could not obtain information from six schools, including Iona, Harvard, LIU Brooklyn, Miami, St. Louis and Valparaiso.

According to the listing, Boeheim pulls in a salary of $1.9 from Syracuse University. He finishes just ahead of Michigan head coach John Beilein, who makes $1.865 million.

Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski was first on the list, raking in a total salary of $7.2 million. Louisville’s Rick Pitino, whose team will play Wichita State in the Final Four, was second on the list at $4.9 million.

The last coach on the list was Southern head coach Roman Banks, who earns $115,000. And Andy Enfield, who led Florida Gulf Coast on an incredible run to the Sweet 16 before Southern California hired him Monday, was 58th with a salary of $159,550.

The last two coaches Syracuse ousted from the Tournament – Tom Crean and Buzz Williams – made $2.8 million and $1.1 million, respectively.
